DELTA AF-1500 automated final inspection and crate-loading robot cell
parallel robot cells
DELTA-TECH visualisation · Hungarian Industrial Special-Purpose Machine Grand Prix 2026Automated final inspection in electric powertrain production
The DELTA AF-1500 supports final inspection and crate loading of Triebwelle and Antriebswelle shafts for Audi's PPE powertrain system. It routes products to the correct cell, coordinates robotic handling with operator inspection and automatically places approved parts in the correct crate.
The solution improves the safety, repeatability and traceability of final inspection while supporting multiple product variants and future expansion.
How the AF-1500 works in five steps
Product identification
The conveyor and controls identify the shaft type and route it to the appropriate robot cell.
Automatic changeover
Using a dual gripper, the robot removes the inspected part and loads the new one in a coordinated operation.
Final inspection
The operator performs the specified inspection at the climate-controlled workstation and scans the DMC code.
Crate inspection
The system identifies the crate type, verifies its position and measures the available height.
Automatic crate loading
The approved shaft is placed in the correct container, and the process continues with the next part.
Mechanical, electrical and software solutions integrated into one process
The AF-1500 combines parallel robot cells, coordinated human-robot interaction, product and crate type management, and secure data connections.

Automated final inspection robot cells — questions and answers
Which products can have their final inspection and crate loading automated?
Can a robot cell be integrated with an existing conveyor system?
Yes. Following an on-site, safety and controls assessment, the system can be integrated into an existing material flow and data environment.
How can different product variants be handled?
Product identification, recipe management, adaptive gripping and modular software can support multiple product types. The number of variants and changeover process are defined during the concept phase.
What information is required for a preliminary quotation?
A product drawing or 3D model, sample part, required inspection process, cycle time, input and output condition, packaging or crate-loading specification, and installation environment data.
Can traceability and production data connectivity be integrated?
Yes. Barcode or DMC identification, recipe management, result storage and data exchange with higher-level systems can be engineered to customer standards.
Would you like to automate a final inspection or robotic crate-loading process?
Send us the product data, a brief process description and the required cycle time. Our engineers will assess a suitable system concept.
